Prof. Hadamitzky began her surgical training in 2003 in the department of general and vascular surgery at Porz-am-Rhein Hospital in Cologne. It was here that she discovered her passion for the complex treatment of lymphatic vascular diseases and oedema. The thorough microsurgical training she began in 2006 at Hannover Medical School (MHH) laid the foundation for her expertise. Thanks to her intensive research work in the field of surgical oedema treatment and her successful habilitation, she is today a leading specialist in this area.

Collaborations with Hannover Medical School

Prof. Hadamitzky’s academic career is closely linked to renowned universities and research institutions. During her work at Hannover Medical School she worked in the department of functional and applied anatomy on innovative treatment methods for combating oedema. This work formed the basis of her habilitation and confirmed her position as a pioneer in plastic surgery.

Alongside her clinical work, Prof. Hadamitzky is actively engaged in research.
