Frequently asked questions
How often should I have skin cancer screening?
Once a year is the guideline. With many moles, fair skin or skin cancer in the family, a shorter interval can make sense. After the first examination we will tell you which rhythm fits your case.
What happens during a mole check?
We examine the skin completely and assess conspicuous spots with digital dermoscopy. The images are documented, so that any change can be compared directly with the previous findings at your next appointment.
Can I come wearing make-up?
For a skin examination and for aesthetic treatments, please come without make-up – that way we see the skin as it is. If the appointment concerns finger or toe nails, please remove nail polish beforehand.
Will my insurance cover the costs?
Medically indicated examinations and treatments are generally reimbursed by private insurers. Aesthetic services are self-pay. Billing follows the German medical fee schedule (GOÄ); we always tell you the costs before treatment.
